Saying Goodbye: Retiring the Custom Website Feature in Scout Manager

Don't miss your chance to migrate your custom website before August 2025!

As we approach the end of an era, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the Custom Website feature in Scout Manager. For almost 10 years, this premium offering has allowed units to showcase their unique identity and provide a personalized online presence. However, all good things must come to an end, and I'm sad to announce that we will be retiring this feature at the end of August 2025.

As you may know, Custom Websites have been a beloved part of Scout Manager since its inception. This feature has enabled units to create their own fully customized websites with their own domain names – a testament to their creativity and dedication. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the memories we've shared along the way.

But, as much as it pains me to say this, all good things must come to an end. As of August 2025, Custom Websites will no longer be available in Scout Manager. Units that are currently using this feature need to take immediate action and migrate their content off the platform by then.

Now, I know what you're thinking – 'What about my website? What will happen to it?' Don't worry; we're not leaving you high and dry. You'll have ample time (until August 2025) to find an alternative solution that suits your needs. We won't be offering migration assistance or suggesting where to move your content, but we encourage you to explore the many options available online.

As we bid adieu to this feature, I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge the impact it has had on scouting units around the world. Custom Websites have been more than just a tool – they've been a symbol of unity, creativity, and community. They've given us a chance to showcase our values and connect with one another in ways that transcend borders and cultures.

So, as we prepare to say goodbye to this feature, let's take a moment to appreciate the memories we've shared, the connections we've made, and the impact we've had on the world of scouting. Who knows? Maybe someday we'll bring it back in some new and exciting form!

For now, though, it's time to look ahead and plan for our future online presence. I encourage you all to join me on this journey as we explore new horizons and discover innovative ways to share our stories, connect with one another, and make a difference in the world. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're always here to support you in your scouting journey!
