Pack 48 provides scouting activities to youth in the West Windsor, NJ area. Most of us are from the Dutch Neck area. Through outdoor and community service activities we strive to teach the principles of scouting through respect for the individual and to develop and use their potential to the best of their ability. Our kids like things that go fast! So we offer opportunities like building and racing model cars in the Pinewood Derby, building our bicycle skills while riding in rallies . Our Cub Scouts like competition, but also good sportsmanship.
We hike and camp in the spring, summer and fall. We participate in activities like swimming, climbing walls, archery and BB guns. We sing songs and play silly games. We study the natural world and the wildlife that lives in it while respecting the environment and leaving no trace when we go home. All of this we do in the spirit of scouting.
We have fun while learning and building character in every young person who passes through Pack 48. Our adult leaders instill good values while ensuring each scout is meeting challenges, doing things they like to do and developing strong friendships throughout the year. We encourage scouts to recognize their duty to God and encourage each and their adult leaders to be faithful in their religious duties. Our Cub Scouts learn duty to God, country, others and self.
