We are a Cub Scout pack in the Signal Hill District of the Pathway to Adventure Council ("PTAC") primarily serving the communities of Lake Zurich and Hawthorn Woods. Our chartering organization is St. Matthew Church in Hawthorn Woods with membership consisting of kindergarten through fifth graders from Seth Paine, Spencer Loomis, and St. Matthew Elementary Schools. We offer fun and challenging activities to promote character development, citizenship, and physical fitness. In our Pack, parents and leaders work together to provide a program in which the scouts grow in the time-honored ideals of Scouting.
When you're a kid, fun comes first. Final exams, driver's ed and summer jobs will arrive soon enough. Cub Scouts lets kids have fun while teaching them skills that will help them later in life. From the thrill of shooting an arrow to learning how to transform a block of wood into a race car, Cub Scouts is one thrill after another. With a program expertly tailored to match each age of kindergarten through fifth grade, Cub Scouts learn that even when fun isn't easy, it's always an adventure. In Scouting, everything has a purpose. And it shows kids that doing their best is the most fun of all.
